Keep Your Head Up-

Yes, it is your wedding day, where all the attention is on you. Of course, the very thought of having everyone’s eyes on you can make you nervous. However, it is your day, so forget all those worries, keep calm and just enjoy the moments. No matter how nervous you are, keep your chin up and smile. Yes, Uncle Joe made of fool of himself on the dance floor. Yes, you are worried that Sally has the microphone in her hand and may say something you wish she didn’t. Just let all of that go and keep smiling. Most people will only remember what the photos show and the event goes by like a blur. So just keep smiling. You don’t have to smile all the time, but your face should not be hidden from the lens.

Mind the Gap-

While posing for couple pictures or group pictures, make sure you are relaxed. You don’t want a lot of gap between you and your husband, which might make you look distant or hesitant in the photos. In fact, every time you get a chance, cuddle up! All that love will just bring out the right expression on your face, without you having to worry about getting it right. Humans are creatures of touch. It is perfectly acceptable to touch each other, kiss and express your love on your wedding day. You are married and it is legal now.

‘Hair’ and There-

Do you know why buns and braids are favorites among most brides? Because they are elegant and, most importantly, they keep hair off the face. After all wouldn’t you hate it if some of your best wedding photos failed to look great just because your hair was flying (in an unflattering way), or worse, covered your face? You can leave your hair open (you are the bride, you get to decide it all!), but just ensure that you pin it to keep strands of hair from falling over your face needlessly. A floral headband is another graceful way to do up your hair and keep it in place too. A good hair do is critical for beach and high mountain weddings. The wind is often blowing in these places and causes hair, no matter how much spray, to have a mind of its own.

So all those plastic water bottles, cluttered dressing tables, bunch of used tissue papers should be kept out of the frame at all times. Keeping the dressing areas, reception location, and ceremony clean of clutter goes a long way to getting better photos. A good wedding photographer in Bakersfield can help you with these small yet important details that will make your wedding pictures (and you, of course) look breathtakingly beautiful!

Bonus Tip-

Have fun. Just enjoy your wedding day and trust the people you hire to do their jobs. Once the day starts, there is no going back and anything that will go wrong will make for great stories years later. Professional wedding photographers, videographers (We call our Cinematography), coordinators, and others have years of experience which you should trust.
