When in Yosemite…PROPOSE!

This was not your typical engagement session. We all gathered early in the morning at C&B Pictures’ Studio, in Rosedale, Bakersfield, Ca, along with our travel companion–their friendly pup– and headed up to Yosemite! We made it to the National Park in no time at all and headed down to the valley floor for photos, where we met our first challenge: holding our breath through the looooong tunnel. Yeah, silly, but that’s the way we roll! LOL. After almost passing out from not breathing for 4,233 feet of tunnel, we reached tunnel view and took photos there. We hiked up to Bridalveil fall, where it proved to be too wet to get pictures–water flying through the air everywhere! It was like fog! So we decided to shoot near the creek right below, instead. We headed down further into the many meadows on the valley floor, and, then, up to the honey pot of areas near Glacier Point where we had views of Half Dome and Vernal Falls. We timed it so we could hit sunset on the road back down the hill in a turnout overlooking the valley. We got attacked by mosquitoes, big ones, but it was worth it for the shot! Anything for the shot! We headed back down the mountain and were starved! IN-and-OUT was calling our name! After a quick pit stop, we made it back to Bakersfield just before midnight, 14 hours later. But, in the end, we would do it again in a heartbeat! It was so much fun! Thank you Kacey and Tommy for sharing that experience with us!
